Role Description

This is a full-time ON-SITE ROLE (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) for an Enterprise Architect at Bruhati.

As Enterprise Architect you are responsible for designing, developing and overseeing the implementation of enterprise-wide IT solutions that align with the business strategy and objectives of an insurance company. The Enterprise Architect works closely with senior management, business stakeholders, IT teams and external partners to ensure that the IT architecture meets the current and future needs of the insurance business, while complying with industry standards and regulations.

Role Brief

The Enterprise Architect will perform the following duties:

  • Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and frameworks for the insurance company.
  • Analyze the business requirements, processes and goals of the insurance company and translate them into IT solutions that are scalable, secure, reliable and cost-effective.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of IT solutions that support the core business functions of the insurance company, such as policy administration, claims management, underwriting, risk management, customer service and analytics.
  • Lead and mentor a team of enterprise architects, solution architects and technical specialists, and provide guidance and direction on IT architecture best practices and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with senior management, business stakeholders, IT teams and external partners to ensure alignment and integration of the IT architecture with the business strategy and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance, quality and compliance of the IT architecture and solutions, and identify and resolve any issues or risks.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends, and recommend and implement appropriate innovations and improvements to the IT architecture and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and reports on the IT architecture and solutions, and communicate them effectively to various audiences.

Role Responsibilities

The Enterprise Architect will be accountable for the following outcomes:

  • The delivery of enterprise-wide IT solutions that meet the business needs and expectations of the insurance company, and that are aligned with the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and frameworks.
  • The enhancement of the IT architecture and solutions to support the growth, innovation and transformation of the insurance business, while ensuring security, reliability, scalability and cost-effectiveness.
  • The management and development of a high-performing team of enterprise architects, solution architects and technical specialists, and the promotion of a culture of collaboration, learning and excellence.
  • The establishment and maintenance of strong and productive relationships with senior management, business stakeholders, IT teams and external partners, and the facilitation of effective communication and coordination on IT architecture matters.
  • The compliance of the IT architecture and solutions with the relevant industry standards and regulations, and the mitigation and resolution of any issues or risks.
  • The demonstration of thought leadership and expertise on IT architecture best practices and methodologies, and the contribution to the continuous improvement and innovation of the IT architecture and solutions.

Role Education/Work Experience Requirements

The Enterprise Architect will have the following education and work experience requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information systems, engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT architecture, solution design and development, and project management, preferably in the insurance industry or a similar domain.
  • A certification or accreditation in enterprise architecture, such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF or similar.
  • A proven track record of delivering enterprise-wide IT solutions that meet the business needs and expectations of the insurance company, and that are aligned with the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and frameworks.
  • A demonstrated experience of leading and mentoring a team of enterprise architects, solution architects and technical specialists, and of providing guidance and direction on IT architecture best practices and methodologies.
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of the business requirements, processes and goals of the insurance company, and of the relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • A proficient knowledge and skills in the latest technologies and trends, such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, internet of things, etc.

Role Knowledge/Qualifications

The Enterprise Architect will have the following knowledge and qualifications:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and frameworks for the insurance company, and of the IT architecture best practices and methodologies.
  • A thorough knowledge of the IT solutions that support the core business functions of the insurance company, such as policy administration, claims management, underwriting, risk management, customer service and analytics.
  • A solid knowledge of the IT architecture and solutions of the insurance industry or a similar domain, and of the current and future trends and challenges in the IT landscape.
  • A working knowledge of the business strategy and objectives of the insurance company, and of the relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • A familiarity with the project management methodologies and tools, such as agile, waterfall, scrum, etc.
  • A proficiency in the use of various IT tools and platforms, such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, AWS, Azure, etc.
