What You Will Do:
The Patriot Major Item Repairman (MIR) supports the Deep Maintenance and Refurbishment (DMR) Program for the Royal Saudi Arabia Defense Forces (RSADF). The MIR will provide in-depth system knowledge and field experience related to the theory of operation and troubleshooting skills required to resolve complex Patriot missile system Major End Items (MEI) electronic and mechanical problems, assisting in testing, check-out, repair, and maintenance of all Patriot MEIs. Additionally, the MIR will provide advice and demonstrate methods for diagnosis. Responsibilities include:
  1. Assisting in isolating hardware and software problems.
  2. Assisting with fault isolation/diagnostic procedures.
  3. Providing on-the-job and informal training for maintenance technicians.
  4. Installing authorized third echelon modifications.
  5. Executing and overseeing refurbishment and modification processes.
  6. Performing depot-level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup, and repair capability for Patriot Weapon System MEIs.
  7. Monitoring work performed by subordinates to ensure it meets or exceeds established quality standards.
  8. Performing other duties as directed.
This position is for an international assignment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in the city of Jeddah.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  1. Demonstrated 4 years of field maintenance experience troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, and functional verifications of the Patriot Air Defense system or similar electronic systems using maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, BITE, tools, and available test equipment.
  2. Experience in the operation, sustainment, and operations of the Patriot Missile System Radar equipment.
  3. Trained and knowledgeable in the operation, sustainment, and troubleshooting procedures of the Patriot System.
  4. Knowledge of the operational/analytical software used on the Patriot System.
  5. Experience using Engagement Control Station (ECS) troubleshooting software aids such as Status Monitor, Switch 9, System Exerciser, and Radar Action Cycler.
  6. Demonstrated experience with Department of the Army Modification Work Order (DAMWO) installations, including integration and checkout.
  7. Successful completion of a Patriot System Intermediate Maintenance Course for MOS 27X/34S/94S/916A/918D/140E or an equivalent course conducted by the military or the system contractor.
  8. Ability to obtain a Saudi Arabia work Visa.
  9. Active Secret security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  1. Above qualifications plus five (5) years of Patriot field maintenance experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience of the Patriot refurbishment, modification, and system integration and check-out (SICO) process.
  3. Demonstrated comprehensive planning skills.
  4. Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills with special focus on achieving active participation of appropriate individuals across the business.
  6. Demonstrated experience with training of team members.
Education:
  1. Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of related experience, or associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or HS Diploma/GED with 8 years of related experience.
  2. Graduate of the US Army 94S or 140E course or equivalent.

Additional Information:
Onsite: Employees working in onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
