Mechanical Drafter

Rawafid Co. is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman who excels at multitasking.

1. Support for the Designer to prepare the AutoCAD Drawings, Revit models, AutoCAD Plant3D and necessary shop drawings and/or as-built drawings if deemed necessary.
2. The draftsman should have sound knowledge to prepare mechanical and piping plans and 3D models.
3. Operating Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit and Plant3D software to produce drawings.
4. Communicating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure all parties are on the same page.
5. Developing construction drawings and other design documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
6. Knowledge & experience in AutoCAD and other software.
7. Prepare detailed 2D mechanical drawings and layouts for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical systems.
8. Develop and update shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings in accordance with project specifications and client requirements.
9. Create and manage 3D mechanical models in BIM software such as Revit or similar platforms.
10. Participate in clash detection and coordination processes with other disciplines (structural, architectural, electrical, etc.).
11. Maintain and update mechanical BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
12. Work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure accurate interpretation and translation of design concepts.
13. Coordinate with other trades and disciplines to resolve design conflicts and ensure smooth integration of mechanical systems within the project.
14. Prepare and issue drawing packages and ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, and local authority regulations.
15. Maintain organized records of all design revisions and changes.
16. Handle drafting and modeling duties for commercial buildings, industrial plants, infrastructure projects, and other mechanical installations.
17. Ensure all drawings and models adhere to international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA) and local codes as applicable to mechanical systems.

1. Mechanical Drafting Diploma
2. Previous 10Y experience in Infrastructure, oil/gas, water projects
3. AutoCAD Certification
4. Self-motivated and disciplined.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD software
6. Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit
7. Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant3D
8. Creativity.
9. Good Microsoft Office Skills
