Planning and ensuring the implementation of all systematic activities within the quality system to provide adequate confidence that an entity will fulfill Quality and Food Safety requirements. Coaching other internal audit personnel.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans, including resources, systems, timescales, and financials, to support, contribute to, and integrate within, Halwani's annual business plan and long-term strategy.
  2. Develop and implement the necessary communication strategies to improve awareness of quality issues across all departments.
  3. Plan and manage departmental activities in accordance with agreed budgets and timescales.
  4. Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards to keep the company updated on all new issues.
  5. Liaise and cooperate with quality management and standards bodies (e.g., ISO, Government Departments, HSE, etc) to manage staff according to company standards (appraisals, discipline, training, development, etc).
  6. Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary (where impacted/affected by quality issues) to ensure effective implementation of HB standards at all levels of the value chain.
  7. Introduce, promote, and undertake training and other development initiatives to assist in the development of a changing culture to support the continual improvement process.
  8. Effective management of set KPIs of the department and timely reporting.
  9. Develop and manage an effective CAPA (Corrective action & Preventive action) program to investigate and resolve product quality issues, defects, non-conformities, and consumer complaints.
  10. Support teams and employ effective problem-solving techniques (DMAIC, Fishbone, etc.). Proactively identify areas of improvement and implement preventive actions.
  11. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for Quality review meetings, lead daily coordination meetings to discuss ongoing issues, and follow up daily on proposed corrective actions.
  12. Develop and execute internal, as well as external partner quality auditing programs to ensure compliance with GMP, policies/procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  13. Analyze all available criteria (and establish key criteria if not available) to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  14. Collate all the Quality related data followed by trend analysis and interpretations for further continual improvement.
  15. Ensure quality oversight during new processes and product development and provide technical support during validation and commissioning activities.

Hire, train, and evaluate direct subordinates.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in food technology/food chemistry/food microbiology / Food Safety / General Chemistry / Microbiology.

Experience:

7-10 years in the field of food Quality Assurance/Quality Control, handling similar products.
