We are looking for a Financial Controller to establish and lead financial operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and scalability. This role goes beyond standard financial management—it requires strong expertise in IFRS compliance, process development, project management, and team leadership.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure all accounting practices comply with IFRS standards.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and statutory reports.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly and aligned with accounting standards.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
  • Manage tax compliance, including VAT, sales tax, and other regulatory filings.
  • Implement and enforce robust financial controls to mitigate risks and safeguard financial integrity.

Project Management & System Implementation:

  • Lead the implementation of new accounting software, ensuring seamless integration with business operations.
  • Set up a robust Chart of Accounts (CoA) to support financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Design and roll out financial processes that enhance efficiency, scalability, and compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial systems with operational and commercial objectives.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Process Development & Documentation:

  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial processes and controls.
  • Ensure all financial workflows are clearly documented and updated regularly.
  • Establish internal controls to mitigate financial risks and protect company assets.
  • Continuously assess and enhance financial workflows to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Build, mentor, and manage the accounting team, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new financial systems and processes.
  • Develop training programs and workshops to enhance technical and operational skills within the team.
  • Promote a collaborative and high-performance work environment, driving motivation and engagement.

Who You Are?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role, preferably in e-commerce or high-growth environments.
  • Proven experience in leading accounting software implementation (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, financial reporting, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up financial processes from scratch and scale financial operations.
  • Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
