Position Overview: We are seeking a SOC Backoffice Manager to join our Managed Service Network Security team in Riyadh, KSA. The ideal candidate will lead the Security Operations Center (SOC) backoffice team, ensuring the effective management of SOC operations, coordination between internal and external stakeholders, and orchestration of major incident responses.

Role and Responsibilities:

SOC Management:

  1. Oversee the security operations center, managing multi-network security solutions such as APT Solutions, IPS/IDS, SIEM, Endpoint Security, EDR, NAC, NGFW, WAF, ADC, DNS Security, and Email Security.
  2. Ensure system security needs are established and maintained.
  3. Define services, procedures, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and assurance for the Security Center of Excellence.
  4. Provide technical guidance using extensive knowledge of cybersecurity, security infrastructure, and related areas.
  5. Create appropriate reports representing the actual status of security levels and maturity of operations activities across operations.

SOC Operations and Team Management:

  1. Supervise the integration of new security architectural features into existing infrastructures.
  2. Oversee hiring, training, and evaluating SOC staff.
  3. Create and implement effective processes for SOC operations.
  4. Develop crisis communication plans in collaboration with multiple parties.
  5. Measure SOC performance metrics and report on security operations to executive management.
  6. Direct and orchestrate the managed service response to major incidents.
  7. Provide technical guidance and manage activities related to incident response.
  8. Ensure effective communication and coordination between internal and external stakeholders and engineers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Hands-on, experienced security professional with at least 10+ years of proven track record in security operations activities.
  2. Extensive technical experience in security operations and monitoring environments.
  3. In-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant compliance requirements.
  4. Ability to generate quick results and adopt new methodologies easily.
  5. Strategic thinking about business, product, and technical challenges.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills in a broadly defined environment, requiring adaptive thinking.
  7. Strong verbal and written Arabic communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across organizations.
  8. Creative and critical thinking: able to think out of the box and ask, "Is this the right question?"
