We are Opal Diving Club, our goal is to be the leader in diving education, recreational diving adventures, and marine conservation, providing top-tier equipment and expertise for divers of all levels. We are seeking team members to join us and deliver unforgettable, purpose-driven experiences.
Opal Diving Club is the signature product of JABA, a subsidiary of Baheej Investment Company and owned by ASFAR, a Saudi Tourism Investment Company under the Public Investment Fund, operating in collaboration with AWN Enterprises and Tamimi Group. As a premier Destination Management Company (DMC), JABA is redefining tourism and leisure in Yanbu and surrounding regions.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Adhere to PADI and Opal Diving Club standards and procedures.
- Welcome customers providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Listen to guests' needs and advise accordingly.
- Manage guest registration, orientation, and transportation logistics.
- Effectively manage guest requests and complaints, escalating to the manager when necessary.
- Manage bookings, payments, and tills reconciliation.
- Maintain and update the reservation system with current availability, bookings, and client details.
- Promote activities, additional services, and retail items.
- Certify PADI students.
- Manage communication channels.
- Advocate for Opal marine conservation efforts and diving safety standards.
- Assist with and facilitate relations with local and international travel agencies, and hotel sales departments.
- Manage day-to-day administration and record-keeping.
- Stay informed about new attractions, events, and company policies to provide accurate and current information to guests.
- Keep up-to-date with knowledge of retail items, including souvenirs, travel essentials, and locally made products.
- Upsell retail items and services by understanding and explaining their benefits and significance.
Technical
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Own car.
- Fit for diving medical approval.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or front desk role, preferably in the tourism industry.
- Minimum 3 years accounting and/or administration experience.
- Fluent in English and Arabic is a must.
- Knowledge of up-selling and cross-selling skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Mac OS.
- Proficient with the use of Excel.
Personal
- Excellent communicator and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Able to work with different cultures and nationalities.
- Ability to self-motivate and deliver to agreed deadlines.
- Well organized and punctual is a must.
- Enthusiastic, hard-working, and safety-oriented.
- Customer service focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to assist with dive centre administration and planning.
- Degree in tourism, hospitality, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of dive centre activities, allowing for delivery of a "wow" experience.
- Experience working within the luxury hospitality sector.
- Enthusiastic about scuba diving, snorkeling, and marine life.
- PADI certified diver is a bonus.
- Additional languages, preferably Spanish, Italian, French, or German.
