  1. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  2. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  3. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  4. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  5. Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant
  6. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  7. Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
  8. Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
  9. Provide input into department's goal setting process
  10. Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  11. Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  12. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  13. Plan, assign and review staff's work
  14. Support month-end and year-end close process
  15. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountant
  2. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  3. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  4. Aware of business trends
  5. Familiarity with financial accounting statements
  6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process
  7. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
  8. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
  9. Accuracy and attention to detail
  10. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  11. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
  12. Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
