Job Title: BIM Coordinator

Company Introduction:

We are a leading EPC contracting company in Saudi Arabia, delivering landmark infrastructure projects in power generation, substations, OHTL, water treatment, pipelines, and industrial facilities. As part of our digital transformation and engineering innovation strategy, we are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to support the implementation, coordination, and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across our engineering and construction projects.

Position Overview:

The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating BIM models and workflows, ensuring that the digital models are accurate, clash-free, and aligned with project requirements. This role involves close collaboration with architectural, structural, MEP, and construction teams, ensuring a seamless exchange of data throughout the design and construction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary BIM models for construction and infrastructure projects.
  2. Ensure models are developed and updated according to BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project timelines.
  3. Conduct clash detection and model validation using Navisworks or similar software.

BIM Standards & Protocols:

  1. Ensure adherence to international BIM standards (ISO 19650, PAS 1192) and client requirements.
  2. Maintain model naming conventions, file structures, and data integrity across all disciplines.
  3. Update and enforce company-wide BIM standards, templates, and content libraries.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Coordination:

  1. Facilitate coordination meetings between design, engineering, and construction teams.
  2. Support engineers and draftsmen with BIM-related queries and technical issues.
  3. Interface with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure model exchange and deliverables meet project needs.

BIM Integration with Project Execution:

  1. Support integration of BIM with project scheduling, cost estimation, and facilities management (4D/5D/6D BIM).
  2. Collaborate with the construction team to align BIM models with site progress and execution plans.
  3. Support construction sequencing and visualization for stakeholder presentations.

Quality Control & Documentation:

  1. Review models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with design intent.
  2. Prepare BIM documentation, coordination reports, and clash detection logs.
  3. Assist in the preparation of as-built BIM models and handover documentation.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator or BIM Engineer, preferably in EPC or infrastructure projects. Experience in substations, OHTL, or industrial facility BIM coordination is an advantage.
  3. Key Skills: Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and Dynamo. Strong knowledge of clash detection, model coordination, and LOD standards. Familiarity with BIM execution planning, data management, and CDE (Common Data Environment) tools. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Preferred Certifications: Autodesk Certified Professional – Revit / BIM, or equivalent BIM certification. Familiarity with ISO 19650 workflows is a strong plus.
