We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Logistics Specialists review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained in all locations to support build and repair activities.
If you would like to learn how to ensure overall availability and reliability of logistics to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations, we'd like to meet you. Your work will ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations by being a part of operating the world's largest cloud computing infrastructure.
Key job responsibilities- Understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment (i.e., forklift or cherry picker).

- Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
- Work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
- Regular and ongoing communications with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements necessitates a high-level communicator.
- Support an environment that operates 24/7.
- Position works in-person at a site location.
- Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups.
- Adhere to safety and security protocols for the site.
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments.
- Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts.
- Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
- Manual handling and lifting of objects may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
- Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn't followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don't let it stop you from applying.
