Job Purpose: The Lead Specialist, IT Application & Data Architecture, is responsible for coordinating and managing design activities in line with established policies and standard operating procedures. This role is critical in ensuring the harmonization and standardization of the technology landscape, reducing cost and complexity, and leveraging existing investments. The position involves creating strategic roadmaps to align with current and future business needs while continuously assessing evolving market capabilities and aligning them with internal opportunities. This role also focuses on the design of applications, including the implementation of new solutions and enhancements to existing ones.

Key Accountabilities:

• Enterprise Architecture Development: Contribute to the creation and development of the correct enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational efficiency.

• Data Modelling Strategy: Play an active role in the development of a comprehensive and clear data modelling strategy that aligns with business and technological needs.

• Architecture Policies and Principles: Assist in defining the architecture policies and principles, ensuring they are in line with best practices and the strategic direction.

• Strategic Inputs: Provide valuable input in the development of future application, data, and architecture strategies, ensuring alignment with industry trends and organizational goals.

• Application and Data Architecture Development: Contribute to the creation and execution of architecture management activities, including defining application, data, integration, and security architectures. Lead efforts in producing Service Design Packages (SDP) for new or changed services, in collaboration with the Manager: Application Architecture.

• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and review Application/Data Architecture-related reports for management, auditors, and other stakeholders, as directed by the Director, IT Strategies & Architecture or Manager, IT Strategy & Architecture.

• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure successful execution of IT strategies and alignment with business requirements. Provide expertise and guidance on various architecture design and implementation activities.

• Additional Responsibilities: Take on any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by the Director, IT Strategies & Architecture or Manager, IT Strategy & Architecture.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Computer Engineering, or a related field from an internationally recognized institution.

• TOGAF, CDMP, or similar professional certifications in architecture and data management.

Minimum Experience:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in Application & Data Architecture or a related field, demonstrating a deep understanding of architecture design, data management, and technology integration within large-scale organizations.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).

• Proven experience in developing and implementing data architecture strategies and models.

• In-depth knowledge of application design, integration, and deployment.

• Ability to analyze business needs and align them with technology solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex and evolving environments.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
