  • Managerial skills with a diploma or Master's in a related field.
  • Dataflow is a must.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the dialysis policy and procedure manual.
  • Maintains competencies and skills checklist for dialysis staff.
  • Monitors and ensures dialysis machines are properly maintained.
  • Evaluates the performance of dialysis staff.
  • Provides orientation to new dialysis staff members.
  • Provides easy access to dialysis services by maintaining the physician order and contact system through the staffing office.
  • Maintains appropriate supply level of specialized dialysis products.
  • Ensures comprehensive, quality care for patients on dialysis.
  • Performs surveillance and testing of dialysis water treatment equipment and dialysis water (such as chlorine, hardness, conductivity, water cultures) to ensure that these machines are operating within the parameters set in the facility's written protocols.
  • Responsible for organizing and implementing educational programs and providing development opportunities for staff.
  • Participates in the administration of unit policies and procedures as well as ensuring that all End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) requirements are met.
  • Represents the organization in a professional manner.
  • Supports and maintains a team and delegates responsibilities to provide the supervision and instruction necessary to meet the needs (physical, mental, emotional) of the patient and family.
  • Serves as liaison between the patient, staff, and physician.
  • Assures the patient's right to appropriate therapy.
  • Interprets and executes doctor's orders, ensuring that patients are treated with dignity and respect, and considers individual needs.
