Min. Experience:

4~5 year experience in the planning, installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV & BESS projects, in C&I sector.

Minimum Qualification & Requirements:

The SR. Solar Project Engineer has to plan and execute solar energy projects and manage everything from small rooftop installations to large-scale Commercial & Industrial projects, being responsible for hassle-free solar installation for the customer. He shall act as leader for the team and be responsible for transforming the electrical and civil design on paper into properly implemented project, on site, within budget, time and specifications.

Qualifications and requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  2. Awareness of cultural differences and HSE regulations.
  3. Valid engineering licenses from Saudi engineering council.
  4. Valid driving license.

SR. Project Engineer's Responsibilities:

  1. Manage PV & BESS projects from contract signing to the final handover, by planning the project milestones and execution process.
  2. Prepare detailed work plans and drive subcontractors to align all work activity to utilize the full manpower and all man hours while maintaining standards and specifications.
  3. Schedule, coordinate, and monitor the projects.
  4. Manage and monitor the technical and financial performance against the project budget and design.
  5. Formulate project parameters and assign responsibilities to the most capable employees while monitoring the project team.
  6. Interact with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and represent the company in the field.
  7. Maintain a good relationship with the client by conducting weekly meetings and keeping them updated with project progress.
  8. Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and submit reports to management on the project's status.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.
  10. Cooperate, communicate, and coordinate with other related departments inside the company (sales, finance, supply chain, etc.).
  11. Review engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions.
  12. Conduct engineering site visits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of solar PV systems.
  13. Apply knowledge of HSE to ensure the project follows HSE guidelines.
  14. Review specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives.
  15. Evaluate, prequalify subcontractors and manage the subcontracting process & documentation.
  16. Manage the procurement of solar PV materials and perform cost reduction/savings analyses.
  17. Create checklists for review or inspection of completed installation works.
  18. Conduct testing and commissioning of PV systems & BESS, according to standards and using the related devices.
  19. Ensure that testing and commissioning procedures are executed in a standardized method and observations/results are documented in a consistent format.
  20. Prepare as-built drawings as part of project documentation.

Required Skills:

  1. Strong knowledge of Power system (LV&MV), PV system, Battery energy system (BESS), and steel/aluminum mounting structure.
  2. Experience in the testing and commissioning of Huawei & SMA products.
  3. Experience with AutoCAD, PVSyst, and other design and visualization software.
  4. Leadership & problem solving.
  5. Initiative & proactive thinking.
  6. Experience in HSE regulations & requirements.
  7. Excellent computer literacy and MS Office.
  8. The ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
  9. Excellent project management and supervision skills.
  10. Excellent organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.
  11. Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  12. Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
