Business Data Analytics Manager

Manage Business Data Analytics Solutions (BI & Data Science Platforms) through overseeing the development & implementation of selected best in class Data & Analytics Modules in order to Enable Faster and Data based Decision Making for all Business Functions.
Extend Data Analytics & Data Mining to all Business Areas & Ensure the efficiency, reliability and best utilization of Data & Analytics Systems by maintaining the standard levels of Data Integrity and adequate end users' training.
Responsible for leading, managing, and collaborating with Supply Chain & Finance Departments for Inventory Optimization, Supply Chain efficiency and Financial Analytics through Data Science and Advanced Analytics-led initiatives and Insights.

Accountabilities:

  1. Manages & organizes Data Analytics & Data Science projects in the implementation and use of new tools and systems and frameworks in line with best practices and Business Strategy.
  2. Manages and works on highly complex, cross-functional, and enterprise IT and Data & Analytics solutions.
  3. Designs experiments, test hypotheses, train and build models.
  4. Works with business partners to understand business needs and provide them with business insights to build their Strategies.
  5. Contributes to developing the tactical components and strategies to achieve goals related to Data & Analytics.
  6. Assess best in class Data & Analytics Solutions (B.I., ML) through developing proof of concept exercises and recommendations necessary for selecting the most suitable and best fit solution compatible with business requirements and aligned with IT Strategies.
  7. Implements and monitors Data & Analytics solutions to ensure successful fulfillment of end-user requirements, proper and accurate testing, and sound implementation.
  8. Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
  9. Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  10. Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and efficient improvements.
  11. Lead the team in implementing systems, analysis, design, development, delivery, support and communication of the in-house or standard Data & Analytics projects.
  12. Choose the right methodology to manage the D&A projects and adopt Agile delivery approach where suitable.
  13. Evaluates internal and external guest's needs and abilities to provide the most optimal solutions.
  14. Research business problems and creates models that help analyze these business problems.
  15. Identifies what data is available and relevant and required, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes such as smart meters and geo-location information or social media.
  16. Presents and depicts the rationale of their findings in easy-to-understand terms for the business and various target audience.
  17. Communicates and works with business subject matter experts and organizational leadership.
  18. Designs and delivers end-user training and training materials.
  19. Ensure data security and confidentiality at various level (dashboard level, model and data levels) and manage user access by mapping business requirements with Data Analytics authority matrix and coordinate with data management team to ensure secure access channels.
  20. Create and maintain technical documentation, user support materials and deliver training (user/ super user) by documenting system steps and preparing bespoke training documentation to transfer knowledge and build capability.
  21. Provide support and mentoring to other team members to facilitate a better understanding of requirements techniques, processes and deliverables required to support successful project delivery.

Job Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree.
  2. Experience: 4-6 Years of Experience - Working knowledge of best practices in information technology management - ITIL and service management background.
  3. Computer Skills: Business Intelligence Systems - Data Reporting Tools (SQL, PL/SQL) - Data Statistics Tools and Techniques - Strong SQL / PLSQL knowledge - MS Office Suite (Advanced).
  4. Languages: Arabic - English.
