DB2 LUW Consultant - DB2 setup and patch management

We have an urgent requirement for a DB2 LUW Consultant - DB2 setup and patch management for our client based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in DB2 installation & apply patches and fixpacks.
  • Strong experience in restoring an online database backup and rolling back a database to a specific point-in-time.
  • Extensive database performance tuning experience by analyzing snapshots (database, buffer pool, tables, etc.).
  • Data modeling analysis, normalization, and de-normalization.
  • Hands-on experience in DB2 SQL Replication and Q-Replication.
  • Hands-on experience in DB2 HADR configuration using TSA/Pacemaker.
  • Experience in capacity planning for new hardware/software.
  • SQL analysis and capturing bad SQLs, generating EXPLAIN and ADVISER tools, and creating/changing indexes to improve performance.
  • Proper monitoring of the database using DB2DART, DB2PD, and IBM functions and administrative views.
