To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.

In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

Job Description
  • Sourcing and Vendor Management: identifying potential suppliers, soliciting bids or quotations, and evaluating vendor capabilities. This involves maintaining a database of approved vendors and assessing their performance.
  • Negotiation: Negotiation contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization.
  • Purchase Orders: Creating and managing purchase orders for the goods or services needed by various departments within the organization.
  • Suppliers Relations Management: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and implementing strategies to mitigate them. This includes managing issues like supply shortages, quality problems, and disruptions.
  • Compliance: Ensuring that the procurement process adheres to organizational policies and government regulations. This includes maintaining proper documentation and transparency in the procurement process.
  • Market Research: Keeping up to date with industry trends, market conditions, and new products/services to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Cost Control: Working to optimize cost through bulk purchases, negotiation, and efficient supplier management.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinating with relevant departments to manage inventory levels and avoid overstock or stockouts.
  • Budgeting: Collaborating with the finance department to create and manage budgets related to procurement activities.
  • Reporting: Providing regular reports on procurement activities, cost saving, and supplier performance to management.
My Profile

Bachelor's degree in supply chain or equivalent

+5 Years Experience / Engineering Sector

Security Clearance

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.

Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
