You as a Tendering & Sales Support Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Creating and completing bids or estimations or quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements or budget to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company and in line with Company regulations, T&Cs and Risks review.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading, creating, implementing and reviewing local Tendering and sales support strategy for local Transformers domestic sales unit in coordination with local Market Manager, HUB, supplying units and Local FES to the best level of serving Saudi market and BU growth plan.
  • Leading the homologation or prequalification of new supplying units into Saudi across different market segments or end users in coordination with Local Market Manager, HUB and Supplying units.
  • Leading and planning all tendering activities associated with local domestic sales unit across the allocated product groups (DTR, DRY and Power Transformers).
  • Ensuring the best planning across the entire tendering stages: Pre-Bid stage, in que stage, post-bid stage and finalization stage.
  • Leading all reviews / follow-up calls with supplying units (Plants) and demand (FES) to ensure all Quotes & support received on time and to lead RR activities and approvals.
  • Supporting finalizing all post-bid clarifications in coordination with FES and supplying units as needed during the finalization/ negotiation stage.
  • Preparing the Lost – Win analysis and sharing with MM and sales, supporting in budgetary quotes as needed and overseeing the handing over of Orders to Operation sales with full alignment and coordination with FES.
  • Leading and directly overseeing the preparation of proposals through internal and external resources and ensuring all proposals follow relevant Hitachi Energy procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements.
  • Ensuring most competitive offers considering the market situation and customer's conditions. Identifying which approach (e.g. direct sales, consortium, or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer & Hitachi Energy.
  • Capturing the market intelligence feedback associated with each tender / product line and recording the same for analysis (price trending).
  • Overseeing the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) in each offer and leading the Risk reviews and calls and filling the RR database with necessary information in full coordination with local sales organization, local legal, HUB Contract management and BU RR.
  • Ensuring support to the Sales organizations during technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and providing technical support and clarification as needed.

Your background

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant industry is required.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in Tendering and Quotation of Power Transformers and Service.
  • Exposure to Contract Management & Risk Reviews will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
