As we continue our rapid expansion in NZ, you'll have plenty of opportunities to grow across technical, consulting, and leadership skills. You'll work with talented cloud technologists and expand your knowledge of AWS products. You'll also have the chance to receive mentorship and gain AWS certifications.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Partner with Enterprise Support Technical Account managers to provide supporting services and recommendations to customers to help them transform, improve operations and lower costs.
  2. Collaborate with Amazon Web Service engineers, Service Teams, Technical Account Managers, and customers to ensure the appropriate handling, timely resolution, and escalation of support cases and customer asks.
  3. Liaise with customers during service disruptions to understand and assist in mitigating business impact.
  4. Access and learn how to use customer account tools to draw insights and address customer asks.
  5. Compile cloud services operational and cost analysis periodic customer reviews.
  6. Deliver introductory customer technical enablement sessions such as lunch and learns.
  7. Champion and advocate for customer requirements within AWS (e.g. feature request).
  8. Participate alongside Technical Account Managers in customer requested meetings.
  9. Learn on the job to become an expert in AWS by deepening your skills in cloud computing through certification and training.
A day in the life

As a trusted advisor, you'll have a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from cloud technology. You'll craft and execute strategies to drive our customers' adoption and use of AWS services.

Our Technical Account Managers partner with some of the most iconic businesses in the country. These range from rising startups building their business from scratch through to large enterprises going through significant transformation. You'll provide advice on architecture, support strategy, project, and launch planning as well as ongoing operational issues.

Minimum Requirements
  1. 2+ years of technical engineering experience
  2. Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for two (2) of the following: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment
  3. Bachelor's degree
  4. Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings
  5. Experience scripting languages and coding skills for one (1) or more of the following: Ruby, C/C++/C#, Node.JS, Java, Python, and PHP
  6. Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing business presentations covering business and technical aspects or equivalent
