Srock Controller

You will play a critical role in maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing stock discrepancies, and contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.

As a Stock Controller in our logistics company, you will be responsible for overseeing the stock management process and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of stock control operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining records of goods movements, adjustments and inventory
• Conducting regular inspections of incoming goods for quality and quantity
• Recording all transactions and movements of goods accurately in the inventory management system, updating product information, prices, and quantities of goods
• Implementing stock rotation strategies to minimize product expiry and ensure timely use of perishable goods
• Generating regular reports on stock levels, goods movement, and discrepancies identified
• Conducting periodic inventory counts to verify accuracy of inventory levels and identify discrepancies
• Implementing measures to prevent loss, damage, or theft
• Collaborating with various departments including purchasing, sales, and logistics to optimize inventory management processes and ensure alignment with overall business objectives

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role within the logistics industry
• In-depth knowledge of stock control procedures and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve stock discrepancies
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage stock operations
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with inventory management software and proficiency in MS Excel
• Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams
