Document Manager with Planning & Scheduling Responsibilities

Project: Smart Distribution Control Centres (SDCC) for Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) CEO & EOA

Role Overview:

The Document Manager – Planning & Scheduling will be responsible for managing project documentation and project schedule updates of project activities for SEC Smart Distribution Control Centres (SDCC) across the Central & Eastern regions. This role plays a key part in maintaining document control and compliance, ensuring alignment with SEC requirements and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement document control policies, workflows, and standards in compliance with SEC and Indra regulations.
  • Manage, track, and maintain engineering, contractual, and regulatory documents, ensuring accuracy, version control, and structured archiving.
  • Utilize Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, Primavera Unifier, or OpenText for efficient document tracking and accessibility.
  • Ensure secure storage, controlled access, and distribution of project documents among Indra, Algihaz-DC, SEC, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate the review, submission, and approval processes with project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approval of documents.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as MS Project.
  • Attend all project meetings and distribute the MOM with agreed actions to all attendees.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Planning, Document Control, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in document management, project planning, and scheduling for large-scale Energy Control Centre Projects with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
  • Proficiency in Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) platforms (Aconex, SharePoint, Primavera Unifier) and project management tools (MS Project).
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of technical and contractual documentation while overseeing project schedules.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic is an advantage.
