Novo Nordisk has multiple openings for the position of Regional Medical Advisor, in the cities of Jeddah and Riyadh, those positions will be under the Medical Affairs function. You will directly report to the Medical Manager.

The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) at major academic institutions and clinics. You will support the effective utilization of products throughout their lifecycle, provide scientific expertise to both external medical communities and internal colleagues, and ensure strong engagement within the healthcare ecosystem.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Develop KOL engagement plans, gather insights, identify clinical investigators, communicate medical/scientific data, and provide conference support.
  2. Assist in external research activities and respond to medical inquiries from stakeholders.
  3. Provide scientific training, support clinical research teams, and contribute expertise to cross-functional teams.
  4. Stay updated on medical advancements, including Pharmacoeconomics, to maintain deep expertise.
  5. Align with field teams to ensure seamless medical affairs operations within the assigned territory.

Qualifications

As Regional Medical Advisor, you need to be action-oriented with a strong drive and focus on results, a team player who is customer-focused with good peer relationships, and an innovative thinker with strong project management skills. You also need to have:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Pharma, and a bachelor's degree in medicine is a plus.
  2. At least 1 year of experience within the pharmaceutical industry or as a Clinical Pharmacist.
  3. Ability to engage people with different backgrounds (science, business, etc).
  4. Excellent networking capabilities.
  5. Experience and willingness to work in an international matrix organization.
  6. Ability and willingness to quickly adjust to new situations in a continuously developing environment.
  7. Excellent presentational skills.
  8. Good at translating medical/scientific insights to business opportunities/implications.
  9. Fluent in written and spoken English.
