Project Overview:

Bechtel has been involved over the last 80 years in some of the world's busiest and most complex airport projects, including Greenfield and Brownfield developments. In the GCC, we have held significant roles on King Khalid, King Fahad, Dubai, Hamad, and Muscat international airports. As we consider the future of aviation globally and in the GCC, we are very enthusiastic about the future of aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are currently considering candidates with aviation, other transportation or complex public accessible building project experience to provide project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial and construction management) for a major infrastructure project in Riyadh should it be awarded to Bechtel. This posting serves as an expression of interest only.

Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and manage project cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. You will identify cost trends for management attention, support project organizational and administrative activities, and ensure work is completed as scheduled. Your data analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges, and your leadership will be essential to project success.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Leads the cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for a small area within a project which requires a low to moderate degree of technical skilled experience.
  2. Identifies cost trends for management attention.
  3. Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges.
  4. Ensures work is completed as scheduled.
  5. Supports project organizational and administrative activities.
  6. Leads the cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for an area within a project which requires a moderate degree of technical skilled experience.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9 -12 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Prior experience working as client representation or in PM/CM role preferred.
  2. Proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications currently used in Bechtel (PC Works or Primavera and Microsoft Office Applications, for example).
  3. Proficiency with PC operating systems, with proficiency in several basic software applications.
  4. Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes, and understanding of Controller instructions, which impact Project Controls (including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination Data).
  5. Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
  6. Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
  7. Prior Middle-East work experience preferred.
  8. Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
