Director - Application Operations (COR 211)

Qiddiya Investment Company, a pioneer in developing a transformative entertainment and cultural destination, is seeking a highly skilled Director - Application Operations to lead our application management and operational strategies. In this vital role, you will oversee the performance, stability, and reliability of our applications, ensuring they align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement an application operations strategy aligned with the organization's business goals.
  2. Oversee the design, implementation, and management of robust, scalable, and efficient application environments.
  3. Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of professionals in application operations, including managers, engineers, and support personnel.
  4. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  5. Ensure the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of all essential business applications.
  6. Manage incident, problem, and change management processes to minimize disruptions to business operations.
  7. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to enhance application performance and security.
  8. Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve issues.
  9. Oversee application lifecycle management, including updates, patches, and end-of-life strategies.
  10. Create and enforce policies and procedures for application operations, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  11. Manage the application operations budget, focusing on resource optimization and cost efficiency.
  12. Lead planning and execution of disaster recovery strategies for critical applications.
  13. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on application performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
  14. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging new technologies and methodologies.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. 12+ years of experience in application support or operations.
  3. Strong understanding of application development, deployment, and maintenance processes.
  4. Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and best practices.
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
