Job DescriptionDay-to-day Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Preparing ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring them according to recipes and standards.
- Cooking: Cooking food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Plating and Presentation: Arranging and presenting food in an appealing manner before it is served to guests.
- Menu Planning: Assisting in the development and updating of menus, including daily specials.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of kitchen supplies and ingredients, and placing orders as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that kitchen equipment is in good working order and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Quality Control: Monitoring food quality and making adjustments as necessary to maintain high standards.
- Training and Mentoring: Assisting in training new kitchen staff and helping them to develop their skills.

What We Need From YouIdeally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
- Two to three years prior tenure in a similar role
- International luxury hotel chain background
