Nursery Health

As a Nursery Health & Safety Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to act as an insider health & safety supervisor and to ensure children's order inside the Nursery.

As a Child Caregiver, one is required to provide safe, educational environments for children and take care of their basic needs, including dressing, and supervising play and nap times.

Child caregivers typically work while having fun and enthusiastic personalities amongst all.

1. Perform Arabic, English, Islamic and Quran daily lessons (as needed)
2. Handle children with care
3. Control the class in different ways to maintain stability amongst the children
4. Arrive in time for the first lesson starting at 8 AM to prepare the class well
5. Teach 1 to 1
6. Take photos of each lesson for each kid showing their progress
7. Add merit stars for good behavior
8. Give the Star of the Week to each child each lesson
9. Prepare, organize, and supervise mealtimes and snacks with the Teacher

1. Maintain professional and positive relationships with parents, children, and staff
2. Provide structure and accountability that is firm but compassionate
3. Encourage children to participate in all activities
4. Notify the Principal or Lead Child Care Consultant of any signs of emotional or developmental issues with the kids
5. Conduct weekly Islamic interactive circle time including calendar, Duaa, story about the Prophet (peace be upon him) and speaking with kids to develop language and confidence
6. Administer Islamic, Arabic, English and Quran monthly tests and skills assessments
7. Update the Weekly plan with the Theme of the Week
8. Add Islamic, Arabic, English and Quran activities based on relevant themes

1. Watch the time swap between classes, food, and play yard is correct
2. Supervise safety in the yard
3. Guide the maids for cleaning and ensure all areas are cleaned neatly and nicely
4. Report any issue to Principal or Lead Child Care Consultant
5. Watch for safety at all times making sure no two kids are engaging
6. Monitor special needs kids (out of class or in the hall) apart from normal children
7. Ensure all Teacher Assistants have opened lunch boxes for the kids
8. Make sure ministry's rules and regulations are met
9. Ensure the break times for Teacher Assistants do not overlap
10. Watch kids wash hands twice a day at minimum
11. Ensure all staff are moving around watching kids' safety during playtime
12. Make sure special needs are taught while other kids are in food time and vice versa as needed

1. A high school degree or higher
2. Ability to work under pressure
3. Good communication and collaboration as one team
