A. Management Responsibilities

  • Set business expectations and communication strategy
  • Manage Development team communication
  • Engage product vendors in Enhancements and Issues fixing

B. Planning Responsibilities

  • Plan for platform enhancement
  • Performance Change Requests assessments
  • Provision new servers and products
  • Orchestrate change requests and manage different teams' expectations (PMOs, Developments)
  • Plan for preventive and corrective actions for environment stability
  • Manage and develop data operation framework (BI, Data Engineering, Governance, ML)
  • Maintain data platform stability and availability

Qualifications and Education Requirement

8 years of experience in Data Management domain (BI, Data Engineering, and Governance). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Skills
  • Manage and develop data operation framework and processes across data engineering, analytics enablement, and machine learning, including data intake delivery process, security control, governance model, product lifecycle management, and platform cost control.
  • Design, deploy and operate enterprise-level data product management frameworks and processes, including data catalog, Business Intelligence, data lineage, product adoption, and performance.
  • Analyze the impact of change requests that could impact the data platform.
  • Maintain agreed Data Management SLA and provide justifications for missed SLA in time; plan and execute preventive actions to avoid SLA breaches.
  • Liaise with Development project managers to plan and deploy new projects and change requests.
  • Liaise with Infrastructure teams to implement change requests related to Data Management, such as applications upgrade and OS upgrade.
  • Drive and support departments and divisions for modern data platform adoption.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives on data operations to improve service level, performance, management and control, and cost-efficiency.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders including senior management.
Requirements
  • Strong design, build, and daily operational experience on enterprise-level data platform and data services ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge in data pipelines, business intelligence, Data Quality, Data Catalog, Master Data Management, Big Data, Data Virtualization, and Data APIs.
  • Experience in enterprise data management solutions with successful high user adoption, including data Catalog, lineage, governance & security, product performance, etc.
  • Working experience and knowledge of project management, product management, and stakeholder engagement in a regional capacity, with different cultures and across different time zones.
  • A self-starter that works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Team management experience.
