Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire alarm / Detection, Electrical engineering, electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design software relevant and Microsoft office (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft office) and other industry tools.
  • Entry level candidates are preferable. (1-2 years of experience on fire Detection and protection system / MEP design and cost estimation is an added advantage).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Estimation Engineer of fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, fire detection & alarms, suppression systems, and more.
  • Approaching potential business opportunities proactively to apply cost effective approaches to support the chances of winning projects.
  • Apply expertise in fire protection engineering principles to ensure compliance with codes (NFPA).
  • Utilize your specialized knowledge to estimate costs for fire protection system installations, upgrades, and retrofits.
  • Analyze project requirements and specifications to accurately assess material, equipment, labor, and installation costs.
  • Develop detailed and itemized cost estimates for client proposals and internal project planning.
  • Manage the design and estimation phases of fire protection projects, from initial concept to final proposal.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of fire protection systems and timely completion of milestones.
  • Optimize fire protection designs for efficiency, reliability, and safety while considering the unique needs of each project.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of fire protection system designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare technical reports and proposals that convey design rationale, cost breakdowns, and compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct site visit / Site survey for Estimation of Fit out / project jobs.
