Summary

We are looking for a substitute teacher who will be a key member of American School Dhahran The position is primarily responsible for managing and delivering lessons according to the lesson plans developed by the regular teachers in the absence of the regular teachers

Position Duties

• The successful candidate will be able to effectively
• Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people child protection
• Deliver lessons to students as outlined in lesson plans developed by regular teachers
• Motivate students to learn and participate in the classroom during lessons
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities
• Attend staff meetings if required
• Supervise students outside classrooms if required
• Coordinate with the ASD substitute teacher coordinator for ASD classroom expectations
• Coordinate with the ASD substitute teacher coordinator for the ASD emergency protocol
• Maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and or the Assistant Principals

Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have Minimum of a Bachelor s degree

Experience and Skills

• Experience
• Experience as a substitute teacher
• Certification as a teacher (preferred)
• Skills Excellent command of English, both written and oral
• Highly developed classroom management skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Maturity to handle a range of situations
• Sound knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office
• Loyalty and a high level of confidentiality
