TMI is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Trainer to deliver industry-aligned, competency-based vocational training across its diploma programs.
The role combines classroom instruction with hands-on training, workplace simulations, practical assessments, and industry-based learning to prepare students for successful employment in Saudi Arabia’s growing tourism and service sectors.
Trainers may support delivery across TMI’s Luxury Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Health & Wellness, and Tourism Security programs, while specialized technical training will be delivered only within the trainer’s demonstrated qualifications, professional expertise, and approved training scope.
The position requires a strong industry background, practical teaching ability, and commitment to developing students’ professional and employability skills in accordance with TVTC requirements and industry expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Instruction
- Deliver competency-based vocational training aligned with approved TVTC curricula, program specifications, and learning outcomes.
- Deliver practical sessions, demonstrations, workshops, role-plays, simulations, and other applied learning activities reflecting authentic workplace environments.
- Support training delivery across TMI programs according to professional qualifications and approved training scope.
- Deliver relevant cross-program subjects such as customer service, professional conduct, workplace communication, service excellence, health and safety, teamwork, and employability skills.
- Integrate current industry practices, standard operating procedures, technology, and service standards into training.
- Apply appropriate adult-learning and student-centered teaching methodologies.
Practical & Workplace-Based Training
- Coordinate and supervise on-the-job training (OJT), internships, field visits, and workplace placements.
- Liaise with relevant employers and industry partners, including hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism establishments, wellness facilities, and security operations.
- Monitor student attendance, performance, professionalism, safety practices, and competency development during workplace training.
- Provide coaching and corrective guidance during practical and workplace-based activities.
- Serve as an academic–industry liaison during assigned training placements.
Assessment & Student Development
- Develop and administer practical assessments, observation checklists, workplace tasks, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure assessments are aligned with approved competency requirements and appropriately documented.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback and coaching to students.
- Identify students requiring additional academic, practical, or behavioral support.
- Support the development and implementation of remedial training plans.
- Maintain accurate assessment records, student portfolios, attendance records, and training logs.
Curriculum & Training Materials
- Contribute to the development and review of curricula, lesson plans, practical activities, simulations, assessment tools, and training materials.
- Ensure training content remains relevant to employer expectations, industry developments, and national workforce priorities.
- Collaborate with subject-matter specialists when technical expertise outside the trainer’s primary field is required.
- Participate in curriculum mapping, program reviews, and continuous-improvement activities.
- Support new program implementation and cohort expansions.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Deliver training in accordance with applicable TVTC requirements, accreditation standards, institutional policies, and approved program documents.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation for training delivery, assessment, attendance, practical activities, and industry placements.
- Support internal and external audits, inspections, moderation activities, and accreditation reviews.
- Comply with institutional requirements related to health and safety, ethics, confidentiality, and student conduct.
- Report safety, compliance, or student-welfare concerns through the appropriate channels.
Professional & Institutional Responsibilities
- Model professional behavior, workplace ethics, service excellence, and appropriate industry standards.
- Collaborate effectively with program leadership, specialist trainers, support teams, and industry partners.
