Job Summary:

An Implantologist is a specialized dental professional responsible for diagnosing, planning, and performing dental implant procedures. They work closely with patients to restore missing teeth using advanced implant techniques, ensuring optimal function, aesthetics, and oral health. The role requires expertise in surgical implant placement, bone grafting, and prosthetic restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive oral examinations to assess patient suitability for dental implants.
2. Develop customized treatment plans, including surgical and prosthetic phases.
3. Perform dental implant placement procedures, ensuring precision and patient comfort.
4. Conduct bone grafting, sinus lifts, and other pre-implant procedures when necessary.
5. Collaborate with general dentists, prosthodontists, and other specialists to ensure successful prosthetic restorations.
6. Monitor patient recovery and provide post-operative care to prevent complications.
7. Educate patients about implant procedures, benefits, risks, and aftercare.
8. Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
9. Stay updated with advancements in implantology techniques, materials, and technologies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited institution.
2. Postgraduate specialization in Implantology, Prosthodontics, or Oral Surgery (Preferred).
3. Licensed to practice dentistry in [Specify Country/Region].
4. Certification in dental implantology from a recognized institution.
5. Minimum of 5 years of experience in implant placement and restoration.
6. Proficiency in CBCT analysis, digital implant planning, and surgical guides.
7. Excellent manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
8. Strong patient communication skills and ability to handle complex cases with empathy.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with laser dentistry and digital implant workflows.
2. Knowledge of advanced bone augmentation techniques.
3. Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for implant prosthetics.
