We are searching for a visionary Director of Design - Landscape to lead our landscape architecture efforts and conceptualize innovative, sustainable environments that align with our ambitious vision for a world-class destination.

As the Director of Design - Landscape, you will spearhead the design direction, strategy, and execution of all landscape architecture projects. You will manage a dynamic team of landscape architects and designers, ensuring that every project not only meets aesthetic standards but also addresses sustainability and feasibility. Your leadership will play a critical role in enhancing the overall guest experience and environmental integrity of Qiddiya's developments.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust portfolio showcasing exemplary landscape designs and a record of successful project delivery at a senior level.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic leadership in landscape architecture, guiding design philosophy and vision across all projects.
  2. Oversee the development and execution of innovative landscape designs that resonate with Qiddiya's overarching goals and sustainability initiatives.
  3. Direct and mentor a talented team of landscape professionals, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  4. Collaborate with executive leadership, architects, and stakeholders to integrate landscape architecture with broader project objectives.
  5. Lead the procurement and management of external consultants and contractors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services consistent with Qiddiya's standards.
  6. Establish and maintain relationships with governmental agencies, civic organizations, and community representatives to facilitate project approvals and engagement.
  7. Ensure all landscape designs comply with relevant environmental regulations, best practices, and the city framework guidelines.
  8. Conduct high-level site analyses to inform design decisions and mitigate environmental impacts.
  9. Manage project budgets, deadlines, and resources efficiently, ensuring effective project execution.
  10. Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in landscape design, integrating new technologies and methods into projects as appropriate.
  11. Present design concepts and project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field; Professional License (e.g., ASLA, CMLI) is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 14 - 18 years relevant experience in landscape architecture, with significant design leadership in large-scale projects.
  3. Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and leading complex projects from conception through to completion.
  4. Exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative and successful landscape designs in urban, commercial, or recreational projects.
  5. In-depth knowledge of sustainable design practices, environment-related regulations, and landscape construction techniques.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  7. Proficiency in landscape design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and project management tools.
  8. Adept at budget management and resource allocation, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results within defined timeframes.
  9. Ability to navigate complex project environments and drive collaborative processes toward consensus.
  10. Strong analytical skills and a passion for innovation in landscape design.
