Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our construction projects, you will play a crucial role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of our operations.

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering materials, labor, and equipment
  • Conduct on-site measurements and quantity take-offs to ensure precision in cost calculations
  • Analyze contract documents, drawings, and specifications to identify potential cost implications
  • Manage contract administration, including change orders, variations, and claims
  • Prepare and review interim and final payment applications
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to optimize project costs
  • Monitor project budgets and forecast cash flow requirements
  • Prepare regular cost reports and financial statements for management review
  • Assist in the resolution of contractual and financial disputes
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Riyadh and Saudi Arabia
  • Participate in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and contract negotiations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the Saudi Arabian construction industry
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
  • Proven experience in cost estimation, contract administration, and project management
  • Thorough understanding of Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and construction laws
  • Familiarity with international construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction standards and regulations
  • Arabic language skills preferred
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel within Saudi Arabia as required
