Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage the semester assessment schedule and supporting documentation for all departments.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all faculty and staff regarding assessment-related issues.
  • Train instructional staff on new course content, assessment methods, and the use of assessment-related technologies.
  • Mentor and coach instructors and teaching assistants to improve assessment practices and consistency.
  • Organise and deliver training conferences and workshops focused on academic evaluation.
  • Develop clear, standardised procedures for the creation, delivery, and administration of assessments.
  • Oversee the secure storage, distribution, and collection of assessment materials.
  • Collate and verify all assessment results, ensuring timely and accurate calculation and communication of final grades.
  • Monitor grading practices and ensure quality control through standardisation, moderation, verification, and invigilation processes.
  • Regularly review and enhance assessment rubrics to align with evolving learning outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed records of all assessment activities and ensure these are communicated appropriately to internal stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve trainee concerns and complaints related to assessments with transparency and fairness.
  • Liaise with external examination bodies to ensure the Academy remains aligned with international testing standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with institutional assessment policies across all departments.
  • Recruit, train, and support assessment team members, promoting a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of trends in assessment and vocational education to ensure the department evolves in line with global best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) – Mandatory
  • Master of Education (M.Ed) – Preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in vocational education or academic assessment leadership
  • Proven experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or similar platforms
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data to inform assessment strategies and departmental decisions
  • Demonstrated capability in training staff on new curriculum content and emerging assessment technologies
  • Comprehensive understanding of academic policy, quality assurance, and vocational training frameworks
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and team leadership skills
