To lead and manage the production of pitches and marketing content in Arabic, which contribute to raising profile and winning work for the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region.

The Role

Responsible for the generation of pitches and marketing content in Arabic, which enable the firm to achieve a more profitable return on investment in this area, both financially and through client perception of Clyde & Co.

The candidate will support the wider team and business to create, maintain and improve Arabic pitch resources and marketing materials such as directory submissions, credentials databases, pitch standard wording, case studies and marketing content as well as delivering training where needs are identified.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Review RFP requirements to facilitate go/no-go discussions and develop appropriate pitch strategies.
  2. Manage the production and delivery of bids and tenders, working in partnership with the relevant partners, BD staff and support teams such as design and translations.
  3. Project management and appropriate planning of each stage of the pitch process - from receipt of RFP to submission of the final proposal.
  4. Build rapport with individual partners and develop a clear understanding of the pitch and the partner's expectations, ensuring requests are carried out whilst keeping teams informed of progress.
  5. Coach and rehearse relevant lawyers for beauty parades in conjunction with Client Development Managers, guiding participants through their presentation content and approach.
  6. Oversee the management of rehearsals and the production of compelling presentation material.
  7. Maintain awareness and adherence to the firm's risk management processes and internal procedures to identify risks early and keep partners and senior management informed.
  8. Coordinate and conduct debriefs on bid wins and losses, gaining feedback from both clients and partners.
  9. Keep the wider team informed of new approaches in areas such as presentation approach, structure of pitch documents and pricing options.
  10. Record regular and accurate management information on bids through InterAction and other pitch team management systems.
  11. Create, maintain and improve pitch resources such as credentials database, standard wording and case studies.
  12. Demonstrate an understanding of the full range of the firm's products, services and capabilities.
  13. Prepare and contribute to legal directory and awards submissions ensuring that content is disseminated into pitch resources.
  14. Contribute to regional and global projects designed to improve efficiency and competitiveness of proposals.

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A proactive, self-motivated approach and be a team player who can also demonstrate strong communication, attention to detail and priority setting skills.
  2. Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities within tight timescales.
  3. Outstanding communication and written skills.
  4. Considerable experience of working as a BD Pitch practitioner at manager level within a fast-paced professional services environment, preferably within the legal industry.
  5. Knowledge of managing complex tender processes with several information streams.
  6. Experience of applying client, practice and sector strategies to individual proposals.
  7. A track record of pitching to Government entities ideally in the Middle East.
  8. Commercial thinking to understand the potential client's needs and business issues.
  9. Strong copywriting skills and a good understanding of branding and design in the production of bid responses.
  10. Experience of preparing directory and award submissions.
  11. Effective negotiation skills and the ability to work closely with partners and associates.
  12. Strong IT skills with experience of CRM systems (preferably InterAction), Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  13. Able to work to tight deadlines under pressure, assimilate information quickly, and bring together cohesive documents from different sources.
  14. Strong interpersonal skills including confidence, positivity, diplomacy and the ability to gain credibility quickly.
  15. Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
