Key Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for overseeing the Design Consultant's design of fire strategy, fire detection and suppression systems.
  2. Provide technical guidance to Design Consultants via regular review meetings and formal requests for information.
  3. Act as the single point of contact for technical issues between the Design Consultant and the wider NEOM functions, sectors and departments.
  4. Lead design review of technical design deliverables, with reference to THE LINE Codes, Standards & Guidelines and Requirements.
  5. Develop consistency in design solutions across THE LINE.
  6. Ensure that key risks encountered are noted in the Risk Register, and follow through with mitigation discussions.
  7. Escalate all high-risk design issues to the relevant Subject Matter Expert.
  8. Drive innovation and best practice in the design delivery by appointed consultants.
  9. Consider innovation, sustainability and operations and maintenance.

Requirements:

  1. Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of study or equivalent. Chartered Membership of a recognised professional institution/organisation or Professional Engineer preferred.
  2. Saudi Nationals with a minimum of 5 years professional experience, a substantial part being in the required expertise discipline.
  3. Significant discipline/international industry presence.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of Codes, Standards & Guidelines relating to electrical distribution systems and energy storage.
  5. A working knowledge of fire detection systems, communication systems and other extra-low voltage distribution.
  6. Deep knowledge of the sustainability industry.
  7. Strong communication skills to articulate a clear technical direction with good social, networking and presentation skills.
