Position Overview

The Safety Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Company health and safety program at specific job This individual will perform health and safety reviews at the project(s) to ensure implementation and compliance of Company and government/regulated This person will be a resource to the project(s) in preventing occupational injury/illness related losses by establishing appropriate loss control/reduction

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and
  • Performs the role of investigative lead in complex investigation of incidents, near misses, and property damage Provides root cause analysis by examining evidence gathered from conducting in-depth victim, casualty and witness interviews, and photographic Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and ensures proper records/documents are
  • Conduct, coordinate, and track various training to support company
  • Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, and
  • Conduct regular site
  • Conduct written Site Audits and/or Job Behavior Observations at a frequency dictated by management and/or
  • Drive safety incentive
  • Keep safety credentials
  • Represent Sunshine Solar during OSHA
  • Assist in training endeavors when
  • Coordinates with others for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently and
  • May respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate health / safety/ security

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidate will have 2-5 years of safety experience preferably within the Solar and/or Construction
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes as they apply to all aspects of solar construction and construction equipment and
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate environmental health and safety related
  • Understanding of OSHA
  • OSHA Fall Protection certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Completion of the OSHA 500 training course is
  • Experienced in conducting safety orientations with subcontractors and employees and maintaining safety
  • This position will be working in the field and must be comfortable working outside in the
