Assistant Warehouse Manager

The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in overseeing the daytoday operations of the warehouse. They assist in managing warehouse staff ensuring efficient inventory management and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in supervising warehouse staff including training scheduling and performance management.

2. Help coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities such as receiving storing picking packing and shipping of goods.

3. Support the implementation and maintenance of inventory control systems to accurately track stock levels and minimize discrepancies.

4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and help enforce procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

5. Aid in optimizing warehouse layout and storage configurations to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.

6. Assist in developing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.

7. Collaborate with other departments such as purchasing and sales to coordinate inventory movements and meet customer demands.

8. Assist in monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

9. Assist in identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs while maintaining service levels.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering supply chain management or a related field.

2. Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.

3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

4. Excellent organizational and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

5. Proficiency in warehouse management software (e.g. WMS ERP) and Microsoft Office Suite.

6. Knowledge of inventory management best practices and experience with inventory control systems.

7. Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures for warehouse operations.

8. Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

9. Strong communication skills both written and verbal.

10. Experience operating material handling equipment.
