Library Officer

• Coordinates all activities having to do with the library s system and electronic resources.
  
• Works closely with library staff to manage training for users.
  
• Maintain Library Information Systems. Solve technical problems and recommend solutions to library management. Provides reference services at the Reference Desk.
  

Maintain Librarys Integrated System including Circulation rules Cataloging holdings and administer acquisition and configure the Library Portal.

Monitor system performance including troubleshoot problems and ensure their solution test new functionality and system upgrades

Activate troubleshoot and maintain access to library s electronic resources

Gather and report statistics and data from library systems

Develop Library content

Manage RFID Systems selfcheck stations security gates

Interpret needs and create appropriate working software solutions according to library needs

Work a flexible schedule

Work in a teambased cooperative environment

Train and advise users in general usage and operation of library systems

Other duties related to the library not specified here but that may be required as circumstances dictate

Education:

Holder of bachelor s degree in library studiesBusiness/ information technology/ computer sciences from a reputable University.
