As a Safety and Health Program Manager, your role is to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety and health programs to ensure the well-being and protection of individuals within buildings or construction sites. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment, complying with relevant regulations and standards, and mitigating potential hazards. Your objective is to promote a culture of safety, prevent accidents, and ensure compliance with safety protocols..

**Responsibilities**
- Program Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety and health programs for buildings or construction sites. Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the building industry, such as OSHA, NFPA, and local building codes. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and take corrective actions as needed.
- Safety Training: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in building operations or construction projects. Conduct safety orientation sessions, provide ongoing training, and promote awareness of potential hazards.
- Risk Assessments: Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections of buildings, identifying potential safety hazards and recommending appropriate preventive measures. Assess risks associated with construction activities, equipment, and potential exposure to hazardous materials.
- Incident Investigation: Lead or oversee investigations of incidents, accidents, or near-miss events. Identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and implement preventive measures to prevent future incidents.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, such as fire, natural disasters, or medical emergencies. Conduct drills and exercises to ensure preparedness and evaluate response effectiveness.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections of buildings, facilities, or construction sites to identify safety hazards, unsafe practices, or potential violations. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve identified issues.
- Contractor Management: Evaluate the safety performance of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they comply with safety requirements and regulations. Review safety plans, certifications, and licenses of contractors before commencing work.
- Safety Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report safety performance data to track trends, identify areas for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of safety programs. Prepare reports and presentations for management and regulatory agencies as required.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety programs, policies, and practices. Stay informed about emerging safety technologies, trends, and best practices to implement innovative safety solutions.
- Other tasks assigned by HgP.

**Requirements**:

- Preferred Secret Clearance but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) are preferred.
- Proven experience in building safety and health management, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, codes, standards, and best practices related to building safety, such as OSHA, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and the ability to develop and implement safety programs and procedures.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, incident investigation techniques, and emergency response planning.
- Experience conducting safety training sessions and developing safety awareness programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop effective preventive measures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with employees, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to conduct safety inspections, identify safety deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Proficiency in safety data analysis and reporting, including the use of relevant software and tools.
- Project management skills to effectively plan, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, promote a culture of safety, and drive continuous improvement in building safety and health programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment and work in confined spaces.
