Electrical Technician

Requisition ID: 37150- Location: Al Jubail, SA**JOB PURPOSE**:

- To carry out Electrical maintenance work for all equipment in the Reverse osmosis plant to achieve reliable, continuous and safe operation.
- To ensure plant Electrical equipment is maintained as per Procedures documented in the Computerize Maintenance Management System and as per instructions of the Electrical engineer;
- To assist Electrical engineer ensuring that all Electrical equipment is well maintained and all notifications of planned and unplanned work are completed on time

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Completes all Work Orders generated in Computerize Maintenance Management system as directed by the Electrical Engineer;
- Generates reports (mainly log sheets/check sheets) as necessary for the maintenance done;
- Ensures that maintenance of all Electrical equipment is in accordance with OEM Manuals for the equipment;
- Reviews Electrical Maintenance Procedures and suggests improvements;
- Works to his full potential and does high quality work.
- Supports reliable and accessible 24-hour call-out functionality;
- Attempts all possible means of reducing equipment downtime and ensuring high Plant availability;
- Performs troubleshooting activities as necessary along with the Electrical Engineer and colleagues to determine failure conditions and rectifies the defects found;
- Records and reports to the Electrical Engineer all rectification jobs undertaken;
- Works with Plant Operations Personnel for resolving problems encountered with Electrical equipment under the guidance of Electrical Engineer.
- Discuss planned and unplanned jobs undertaken with Electrical Engineer;
- Assist the Electrical Engineer in planning daily jobs.
- Ensures necessary tooling is available at work sites during performance on any job;
- Uses correct tools for each job;
- Reports loss of tools or damage to any tools to the Electrical Engineer;
- Informs Electrical Engineer of any requirements for tools;
- Ensures that tools are in good working order.
- Manage the contract manpower & contract services in a very cost effective way with desired quality.
- Establish high level cross functional collaborations for all inter departmental tasks.
- Assumes ownership of plant Electrical equipment and strives to keep them in the best possible condition.

**Work Levels and Conditions and Risks**:

- Work Level 5 (OSHA scale 1 to 6): the tasks that he performs as part of their daily work activities represent risks and are controlled by means of procedures, supervision, safety devices and HSE Teams in such a way that its non-observance that could lead to a serious accident of even death.

**Exposure to Risks**:

- Traffic/automobile accidents, ergonomic problems and accidents;
- Risks inherent to the job of the Head of Electrical while performing inspections, site visits, operations and maintenance activities, etc.

**Personal Protective Equipment**:

- Hard hat/safety helmet;
- Ear protection (plugs or ear muffs);

**Recommended HPE (Health Protection Equipment)**:

- Ergonomic office equipment;

**Medical Exams/Laboratory Exams before Taking the Position**:

- Complete medical physical examination;
- Visual acuity examination.
- Color blindness test
- PFT (lung capacity)
- Audiometric test

**Recommended for persons older than 45 years**:

- Laboratory tests: complete blood biometrics, blood chemistry: 3 elements (glucose, urea and creatine) and a general exam of urine;
- Electrocardiogram;
- X-ray PA of thorax.

**Medical Criteria for the Position**:

- High Blood Pressure: not to present a TA greater than 135/85 in case of present alteration and individual monitoring program;
- Obesity: in case of obesity, implement a monitoring and reduction of weight program.
