In order to reinforce the Human Resources team in Basel we are currently recruiting for an LEVEL 2 NDT TECHNICIAN

Description/Tasks:

- Perform duties as Level 2 for ET, PT and MT methods on various aircraft components and structures.
- Carry out NDT of wheel assembly components.
- Read and understand Work Instructions, Component Maintenance Manuals (C.M.M.), NDTM, operating procedures and Customer Spec. requirements.
- Good knowledge and experience to perform initial set up of NDT equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate indications/ signals for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the techniques/methods held.
- Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable standards.
- Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods as used by Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia.
- Maintain a basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
- Provide training to qualify, requalify, or continuously educate NDT personnel where training is within his/her abilities and qualifications.
- Prepare NDT written instructions, techniques and processes as required to be approved by the Level 3.
- Ensure personal qualifications, authorization and medical are maintained current.
- Ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring workshops and workspaces are maintained clean & orderly.
- Certification of NDT work carried out.
- Mentoring NDT Trainees to enhance their skills, qualifications and credentials.
- Ensuring inspections are conducted I.A.W. approved data and relative standards.
- Advise aircraft/component certifiers of any defects which may compromise safety.
- Carry out before use, daily & weekly tool checks and in use chemical checks and correctly identify, label and control NDT tools.
- Maintain the highest standards and safety in all working practices.
- Taking on other duties within his/her capability as delegated from time to time.

Qualification/Experience:
**_Essential_**
- NDT - NAS410 / EN4179 or equivalent Level 2 in ET, PT & MT.
- Minimum 2 years NDT experience in aviation sector.
- Degree / diploma in engineering / Science.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Reliable and flexible to shift work.
- Computer literate.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English - speak, read and write.

**_Desirable_**
- Level 2 in UT.
- Able to work in confined spaces and heights.
- Work experience as an aircraft technician and willing to accept other tasks in spare time.
- Team player.
