The Role
Develop, in collaboration with the CEO and the CFO, an annual operating plan that supports the facility’s long term operations strategy. Provides leadership and actively participates in the development and implementation of strategic, tactical, program and operational planning. Responsibility for integrating the strategic plan of the organisation and maintaining the day-to-day hospital operations. Plans, directs, and oversees the facility's operational policies, rules, initiatives and goals Significant and demonstrable evidence of rigorous financial management/control experience and ability to contribute to revenue enhancement/cost reduction strategies Develops and maintains positive relations with physicians, employees, patients, families, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other applicable parties, ensuring and fostering a high level of collaboration within a highly matrixed team environment. Provides management oversight for the development of high-quality, cost-effective, and integrated clinical and non-clinical programs within the hospital. Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, policies, processes, and staff. In conjunction with the Facility Management team ensure that major incident, business continuity and emergency planning arrangements as they relate to operational services are robust. Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve processes. Establish robust systems of clinical and corporate governance, financial management, risk management and compliance in the departments, ensuring the facility continuously learns in response to incidents, by listening to patients and staff and from complaints and claims. High-level understanding of all business functions such as Supply Chain, HR, Finance, Marketing, etc. Ensure effective systems, processes and performance management arrangements are in place to deliver high standards of performance and the quality of patient services. Ensure departments meet their financial objectives and cost improvement targets and contribute effectively to the annual planning programme and the development of business plans Achieve corporate objectives including compliance with Quality standards and the delivery of national targets and core standards. Manage business relationships with key suppliers. Manage internal systems and business processes. Ensuring that the facility's information systems operate according to internal standards, external agency standards and legal requirements. Coordinate the development of health and safety practices for the facility and oversee compliance with those practices Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and encourages individual integrity Ability to motivate diverse groups of employees to accomplish the goals and objectives of the hospital

**Requirements**:
Masters degree in Business management or healthcare administration. Significant additional role related and personal development training commensurate with a senior management post. Five or more years of increasingly responsible administrative leadership experience in an integrated healthcare environment Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with persons throughout the organization, including clinicians Excellent interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills, both practiced and impromptu. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
