KAPSARC seeks a macroeconomist to contribute to its applied research and advisory projects on energy-related economic issues. The applicant should have solid modeling skills, for instance in DSGE or CGE modeling, and have a strong interest in the evaluation of policies, such as local content regulations.
**Educational Qualifications**
- A Ph.D. degree in the field of macroeconomics or energy economics
- Doctorate degree and 7+ years of relevant experience; or master's degree and 10+ years.
- Solid quantitative skills and analytical capability to understand and develop economic models to be used for policymaking. Technical skills in DSGE modeling would be highly appreciated
- A proven track record of publications in journals in economics
- Consulting experience in the field of macro or energy economics would be a plus
- Experience in the evaluation of local-content policies would be a plus
- Ability to work both as a part of a team and independently
- Ability to communicate research insights to technical and non-technical audiences
- High level of proficiency in English
