**Hydrologist Engineer - Director**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Hydrologist Engineer - Director **to join our team In this role you will get to assist the wide team of engineers, hydrogeologists, geologists, geochemists, groundwater modelers and agrologists on a wide variety of projects in the design and execution of hydrogeological investigations.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Work within a team of engineers, hydrogeologists, geologists, geochemists, groundwater modelers and agrologists on a wide variety of projects.
- Working on hydrogeological projects across KSA including contaminated sites, remediation, hydrogeologic characterization for water supply assessment, water supply development, and hydrogeological characterization for mine development, operations, and closure.
- Design and execute hydrogeological investigations including ground disturbance planning, drilling, and logging of soil and rock core, sampling of soil, rock, groundwater and vapor, borehole instrumentation, monitoring well design and installation, and aquifer testing.
- Conduct contaminant hydrogeology assessments, including development of conceptual site models, determination of hydro-stratigraphic properties and groundwater flow directions, and assessing contaminant fate and transport in the context of source-receptor pathway analysis.
- Contribute to the development of problem formulation for site-specific risk assessments.
- Act as report originator on hydrogeological and related technical reports.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- B.Sc. in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related engineering discipline with a focus in groundwater and hydrogeology.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting or related experience.
- Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, construction contract commercial documents, engineering drawings and specifications, and be qualified to be a QS team leader. Working knowledge of software typically associated with hydrology and familiarity with typical water controls software

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**:

- Minimum 15+ years of related work experience in **iconic asset **and **key infrastructure development **specialist projects
- M.Sc. in Hydrogeology or combination of related engineering discipline with related work experience.
- Experience using industry standard software for determination of aquifer properties (e.g. AQTESOLV), manipulation of geospatial data (e.g. ArcGIS, Surfer, etc.) and databases (e.g. EQuIS).
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant provincial, federal, and municipal acts and regulations.
- Exposure to and working knowledge of geostatistical methods and conceptual modelling software such as Earth Volumetric Studio and Leapfrog.
- Exposure to and working knowledge of numerical modelling concepts and contaminant fate and migration.
- Ability to perform difficult estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry is required.
