Dredging Chief Surveyor

As a Dredging Chief Surveyor, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing surveying activities related to dredging operations offshore.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and coordinate surveying activities for dredging projects offshore
- Supervise a team of surveyors in collecting and analyzing data on seabed conditions, dredging progress, and positioning
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and accuracy of survey data
- Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software, such as multibeam echosounders and positioning systems
- Analyze survey data, produce detailed reports, and communicate findings to project stakeholders
- Monitor and maintain survey equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize dredging operations
- Stay updated on industry advancements, best practices, and regulations in dredging surveying
- Provide guidance and training to junior surveyors and ensure adherence to safety procedures

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Dredging Chief Surveyor in an offshore environment
- Expertise in using advanced surveying equipment and software, such as multibeam echosounders and positioning systems
- Strong knowledge of hydrographic survey principles, data analysis, and reporting
- Experience in managing surveying teams, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Thorough understanding of safety procedures and guidelines in offshore operations
