**Responsibilities**:
Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.

Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.

Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.

Reports directly to the Senior Resident Construction Manager (SRCM) but shall receive daily administrative and technical direction in terms of project (s) objectives from the senior management of the Construction dept. Including frequent Interfaces with other, End Users and Engineering Department staff. Daily contacts with Contractor’s on-site electrical and other divisions management staff.

Major Activities Performed: List the major job function(s) of the position.
- Works with the Senior Resident Construction Manager (SRCM) and other project engineers.
- Monitors construction contractors’ electrical installation and testing activities.
- Witnesses electrical testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Reviews contractor-submitted shop drawings and as-built drawings, materials submittals, tie-in procedures, project schedules, and work permits and coordinates with the concerned departments for their comments.
- Coordinates and organizes periodical and required meetings between the contractor and concerned departments to resolve interfacing problems during construction
- conducts acceptance inspections and re-inspections of the completed permanent works thereafter, until all deficiencies are corrected and signed off by all
- Reviews contractors’ invoices for completeness and correctness of installed quantities for the electrical portion of the permanent works.
- Initiates and prepares for SRCM draft electrical related letters, memos or reports to contractors and other Departments.
- Conducts periodical required meetings between the stockholders and the Contractor for project progress and to address any issues during the project life cycle.

Experience and Qualifications: List the background experience required for the position, number of years’ experience, in what fields. Describe the desirable academic background.
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from recognized University with 12 years of experience in electrical engineering and construction projects with particular emphasis on:

- Medium Voltage (13,8 KV) and Low Voltage (120 V - 240V - 400V) electrical systems
- Electrical power distribution systems
- Building electrical power distribution systems and equipment
- General electrical calculations and electrical theory
- General load flows, calculations, basic relay and protection coordination
- One-lines Pad mounted Transformers and Switches (or unit substations and RMUs)
- Lighting systems - exterior and interior.
- Cabling.
- Coordination with other utilities and disciplines
- Appropriate building electrical codes, construction methodology and requirements (NESC, NEC, IEC. IEEE or other related codes and standards).
- AutoCAD is a benefit, but not a requirement
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English language
