2. Qualifications, Experience and Skills

**Essential**:

- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration specializing in Logistics, Material Management or Supply Chain

Management
- Confident in use of all Microsoft tools and how to manipulate information and data in Excel.
- Experience of working within a supply chain team with commitment authority to negotiate and award orders for

both products and services
- Purchasing system knowledge
- Solid people management

**Preferred**:

- CIPS qualified or working towards CIPS qualification.

**Experience & Skills**:

- Confident and effective communication skills
- Articulate with a good attention to detail
- Enthusiastic & flexible
- Ability to display initiative and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Be well organised and maintain a tidy environment, adaptable and dedicated to the tasks in hand
- Be honest, conscientious, well presented and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills
- Good team player but also able to work independently
- Negotiation and relationship management with an active supply chain
- Maintaining best procurement practices

with policies, procedures, and business strategy.
- Proven skills at requirements elicitation, management, and process mapping.
- Ability to work in Supply Chain databases and systems.
- Demonstrate excellent negotiating, verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven skills at researching the market, looking for potential suppliers and designing specifications and quotations

for said project suppliers.
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain on-going relationships with suppliers, including establishment of performance criteria, inclusion

of this into supplier contracts and performance management of said suppliers.
- Ideally, knowledge of freight forwarders/logistics/warehousing.
- Ability to work well with people.

3. Core Responsibilities and Duties

Procurement

A good understanding of the procurement process to undertake the following procurement functions:

- Bidding and evaluation (including sealed bidding)
- Materials Management
- Purchasing
- Payments including the 3-Way Match Concept
- Detailed Reporting
- Contract workflow
- Drafting and review processes (General Understanding)
- Execution including change control, communications and maintenance
- Progress and Payment Processes
- Close Out
- Claims Management
- Key performance indicator models

Tendering Systems

Site Control
- Warehouse Management Systems
- Material Traceability
- Barcoding

Specific
- Overall responsibility for mid-level procurement - Analyse all Category spend by asset type (or other means as directed - Formally tender all major un-contracted spend to ensure key contracts are established in all areas - For one off item’s or trivial spend, ensure competitive quotation process against 3 comparable suppliers - Ensure POs are placed against approved suppliers only through regular interrogation of SAP via the Project Controls Team - Provide the Senior Procurement Manager with all updates to ensure accuracy on central contracts database, highlighting plan to remediate deviations at least quarterly - Compliance with Supply Chain policies, processes and procedures - Proactively promote Supply Chain policies processes, policies and procedures and actively shares this information with those with which they interact. - Collaborative working with cross functional teams to establish where work is to be allocated and delivered. - Collaborative working with global team/s as appropriate. - Proactively review Category & Contract Management processes when working on them and recommendations for improvement. - Carry out procurement activities, in-line with processes, through enquiry to award stages for both products and services. - Produce periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) reports as requested by the Senior Procurement Manager - Full adherence to the Compliance and Business Conduct Policies. - Full compliance with the Health, Safety, Environment and Employment Policies. - Contribute to on-going development and improvement of Supply
