As a Professional Engineer (PE) with a Civil Specialty, your role is to provide expertise in civil engineering and oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with clients, architects, other engineers, and construction teams to ensure the successful completion of civil engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include design, project management, quality assurance, and technical guidance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Project Design: Design and analyze civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, water supply and drainage systems, and other infrastructure projects. Develop plans, specifications, and calculations that meet project requirements and regulatory standards
- Engineering Drawings and Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to design standards and specifications.
- Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements for civil engineering projects. Coordinate with regulatory agencies and obtain necessary approvals and permits.
- Project Management: Manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Construction Oversight: Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects. Review construction plans, specifications, and submittals. Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with design documents, and resolve technical issues.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control and quality assurance reviews to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and safety of civil engineering designs. Perform calculations, simulations, and tests to validate design assumptions and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with civil engineering projects. Assess risks related to geotechnical conditions, environmental factors, and construction processes. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of project stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, environmental specialists, and other professionals to integrate civil engineering designs into multidisciplinary projects. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, addressing their concerns and providing technical guidance.
- Sustainability and Environmental Considerations: Incorporate sustainable design principles and environmental considerations into civil engineering projects. Evaluate and recommend solutions for energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, and environmental protection.
- Technical Research and Development: Stay updated on advancements in civil engineering practices, materials, and technologies. Conduct research, experiments, and analysis to enhance project designs and promote innovation in the field.
- Other tasks assigned by HgP.

**Requirements**:

- Preferred Secret Clearance but not required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Additional certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
- Proven experience as a Civil Engineer or in a similar role, demonstrating a track record of successful civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bentley MicroStation.
- Familiarity with civil engineering design standards, including those related to structural design, transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, and water resources engineering.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in interdisciplinary teams and interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of construction practices, materials, and methods used in civil engineering projects.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles and environmental regulations in civil engineering projects.
- Professionalism and adherence to ethical standards in engineering practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy cabling equipment and work in confined spaces.
