**Job Summary**

Under the direction of General Nursing Administrative, the Head Nurse will assume twenty-four-hour responsibility for managing the human, material and financial resources of the assigned nursing unit. The Head Nurse will lead and direct the provision of high-quality safe patient care, in an environment that fosters and encourages staff growth, staff satisfaction and safety. The Head Nurse contributes to and implements the nursing strategy within the unit, developing monthly achievement reports that demonstrate effectiveness of the hospital and nursing strategy. The Head Nurse works in harmony with the hospital and the nursing mission and vision statements in achieving the organizational aims and objectives.

**Education and Licensure**:

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing From accredited National/International University or College. Or Diploma in Nursing from a Recognized Facility (for Western applicants).
- Valid Nursing License from country of origin.
- Valid professional license from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as specialist level.
- Current valid certification of Basic Life Support
- For Specialty Areas either Advanced Life Support, PALS, NRP, or Moderate Sedation certification or training in the required on the related field.

**Professional Experience**:

- Minimum of seven (7) years post graduate experience including (2) years of managerial experience or equivalent progressive management experience.
- For Saudi: Minimum of four (4) years post graduate experience including as preferred two (2) years of supervisory experience.
