**Job Title**: Procurement Specialist - Steel Coil & Steel Pipe Industry (Middle East)
**Location**: Dammam, Saudi Arabia
**Job Type**: Full-time
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supplier Management**:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop strong relationships with suppliers of steel coils and steel pipes in the Middle East region and globally.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and performance reviews to maintain a reliable supply chain and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- **Procurement Strategy**:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet the organization’s needs for steel coils and pipes while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality standards.
- Forecast demand for raw materials and collaborate with internal stakeholders (production, logistics, and finance teams) to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain.
- **Cost Management & Budgeting**:
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations in the steel industry, particularly in the Middle East, to recommend and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring purchases align with the company’s financial goals.
- **Quality Control and Compliance**:
- Ensure that all procured steel coils and pipes meet the required quality standards and comply with local and international industry regulations.
- Work closely with quality control teams to resolve any product issues or disputes.
- **Logistics and Inventory Management**:
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure the timely delivery of steel coils and pipes to meet project deadlines.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand while reducing excess stock and minimizing storage costs.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, purchase orders, and supplier documentation.
- Provide regular reports to management on procurement activities, supplier performance, and inventory status.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the steel coil and steel pipe industry, preferably with a focus on the Middle East market.
- In-depth knowledge of the steel market, including pricing trends, key suppliers, and market dynamics in the Middle East.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and procurement strategy development.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management best practices.
- Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and quality requirements for steel products in the Middle East.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience working with major steel mills and suppliers in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of additional regional markets and supply chain logistics within the steel industry.
